Vessels of Protection
Vessels of Projection is a sensory film ritual that explores healing from grief through embodied transformation. The artist performs in sculptural, tent-like wearables modeled after childhood shelters: spaces once used for hiding, dreaming, and feeling safe. Through unscripted movement and layered editing, these garments become emotional prosthetics: at once costume, cocoon, and container. As the artist crawls inside, wears, and becomes each structure, the body dissolves and reforms, filtered through textures of water, storm, and light. What begins as play becomes a portal: a return to a time when protection could be imagined into being, and the body could safely grieve through becoming.
